Audacity

Audacity is free, open source software that allows you to record, edit, and mix sounds. From recording a lecture for a student missing class, to creating a podcast, this free versatile tool has so many uses! All you need is a microphone! (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)

Audacity in Education
- Teachers can record audio from a lesson or presentation to post to the internet.
- Student's can create "digital essays."
- Students can create and share pod casts.
- Foster communication skills.
- Currently installed on all district machines.
- Can be easily downloaded on student's home computers.
