Why use Google Voice?

Google Voice can do many different things to help in the classroom.  You can do student podcasting, make calls, record calls with experts for later playback, turn recordings into MP3's to import into other projects, record yourself for later playback for students, the options are endless! How does it work?  Once you sign up, you are given a Google Voice phone number that you can give to your students.  This number will allow students to call and leave you a message or send you a text message.    To get started, you just need either a previously made Google account or an email address and a phone number to be linked to the account .  Don't worry, you can set the system to not get any calls on your "real" phone number.  Check out this quick video on Google Voice and  download the Google Voice Tutorial!
